Biocitizen LA is increasing equity of access to our programs through #Biocitizen4all because every child in Los Angeles deserves access to enriching outdoor education opportunities. Donations made to #Biocitizen4All will help waive tuition fees for students from low-income families, provide reliable transportation for families to our classroom locations, and ensure quality teacher support and training.
Biocitizen LA is the West Coast arm of Biocitizen, Inc.. Biocitizen was incorporated in 2009 to provide educational services within the field of environmental philosophy, including operating a school that teaches this subject in both traditional indoor classroom settings and outdoors at local, national and international sites. In pursuit of equity of access, we are looking to expand free learning opportunities and free transportation services to families who lack local access to green spaces around Los Angeles. Every dollar makes our community stronger for the challenges of today and tomorrow.
One of the reasons our classes are so potent is the ratio of student to teacher. This ratio is intentional because it allows for real conversations and connection to occur. Our teachers are crucial to our mission and as such we strive to support them with competitive pay and benefits.
